Nominated for the 9th San Diego Film Awards (2023)
A story about three young girls trying to stick together when they get trapped in a sea cave full of crashing waves, hundreds of sea lions, and terrifying elephant seals. First of all, I have to give credit to the director, screenplay, and cast.
My whole family loved the film
About 20 minutes into the film, I said – it feels like this movie was written, directed, and shot by these 3 girls – Turns out I was almost 100% right. My two youngest kids, ages 5 and 7, found it intense at times and were so involved in the characters’ lives that they were legitimately worried about the girls’ safety.
That would have been a very difficult film to make
Working with young actors on the water and in the wild would have been so difficult. The film, while a little cheesy at times, was still well done.
Kudos to the cast and the Schmidt family
Hoping that making this film didn’t break them and force them to make more, because I’m sure it became a labor of love in the end. Thank you for making something the whole family could sit down and watch.
