In this short video, IMDb tries to answer: Where the hell was Batman?
Synopsis
After the events of “Batman” (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, tries to seize the reins of the underworld in Gotham. Except for the bat signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got a Robert Pattinson cameo in The Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard for his version of the Penguin to smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but to no avail. However, in his own series, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user who prefers cigars.
Penguin is simply amazing
The DC Studios logo is located in a rainy Gotham alley. An umbrella falls and the logo changes to that of Warner Bros.. Featured in Graham Norton & Guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). Wow.
I was wrong
Everyone knows what a wonderful actor Colin Farrell is, but here he is unrecognizable in the role of Penguin. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was nominated for some awards for his role in this film. The biggest surprise was Christine Milioti in the role of Sofia Falcone. I wasn’t sure when I heard that she was called the actress for this role, she’s a good actress, but I didn’t think that this role was for her.
That’s how it’s done, DC
She’s just as good as Farrell and makes you believe that Sofia Falcone is a real rival to Penguin. I also wouldn’t be surprised if she was nominated for some awards for her role in this film. This is not a typical DC or Marvel show, this is a full-fledged gangster series. This series takes place in the underworld of the now half-destroyed Gotham City and is an excellent sequel to Matt Reeves’ Batman.
