During season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas

Dexter Morgan: I lived in the dark for a long time
His son, David Zayas Jr., stands in for his father in some of the photos, as they look remarkably similar. Dexter has a large scar on his left side that is visible throughout the first season. Later in season 2, the scar moves to the right side, leaving the left side unmarked.

The complex and damaged characters, the twisted plot, and Dexter’s adoptive father caring for him, training him to become the perfect Avenger, it’s all so intoxicating! Not only is this show well-acted, with every main character holding my full attention, but it’s also written with such a deep intensity that I find it completely compelling! I really can’t wait to see more of how Dex was traumatized as a child, more of Harry’s lessons, more of his growing relationship with Rita, more of the Ice Truck Killer, more of the forensics…
