Boston detective Frank Shaw (Joel Kinnaman) returns to the force after a career-changing injury that left him permanently deaf. On assignment to translate for Ava Fremont (Sandra Mae Frank), a deaf witness to a brutal gangland murder, they find themselves trapped in an apartment building that is about to be condemned when the killers return to finish it off. Cut off from the outside world, these two strangers must rely on each other to outwit the killers, whose arrival they cannot hear, and their only hope is survival.
